Reader nootropic stack: Aniracetam, Ashwagandha, and Alpha GPC

Very often on the Cortex Labs Youtube nootropics channel, we get reader input on the stacks/nootropics that they’re taking. And recently, someone gave us a stack that they take, that gets them good solid functional results.

It combines:

  1. Aniracetam
  2. Ashwagandha
  3. Alpha GPC

The power of this stack

What’s really pretty interesting about the stack is if you look at it, it’s a basic Aniracetam/choline stack, but with the addition of an Ayurvedic herb that calms the nervous system and lowers a stress hormone called Cortisol, called Ashwagandha.

Ashwagandha is taken typically in 500 + milligram quantities, but still will register in lower quantities especially when your logic with a stack is to just add a nice calm, relaxing background effect with it, in conjunction with stimulatory stack counterparts.

Ashwagandha is also a mild acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, so it mechanistically synergizes with Aniracetam and Alpha GPC, in that it will allow the brain to have a bit more usable acetylcholine floating around.

Aniracetam forces the hippocampus to use and release extra acetylcholine, so with more of it floating around from both the choline source (GPC) and the Ashwagandha’s effect on acetylcholinesterase, the stack makes perfect sense.

Full stack in MG quantities

  1. 400MG Aniracetam
  2. 400MG Ashwagandha
  3. 100MG Alpha GPC
