Are nootropic powders in drinks more bioavailable?
One of the major questions people commonly ask me, when doing nootropics consultations, is: “should I just dump nootropic powders in my drinks?”
The idea being that pure powders, mixed in a liquid solution, would potentially absorb better and thus, create a more pronounced effect. The question really is.. is that true?
The real POWER of nootropic powders in drinks
I would say, not exactly. It’s not exactly true that putting powder in your drinks (or some liquid, like a smoothie) is more bioavailable. In fact, it’s more than likely that there is no real difference at all, in terms of how long the nootropic will last in your system, and the strength of the effect.
But – there is a benefit to putting your nootropics powder into a liquid drink, and then throwing it down, OVER capsuling and taking nootropics, and that is simply: a faster nootropic effect onset.
That, when you mix powder with liquid, and get it into your system, it’s reaching the right places to absorb into your blood stream, quicker, and that’s the real power of nootropics powders in your drinks.
My personal tests on nootropic powders in your drinks
I have tested the following nootropics, taken in a fruit and vegetable smoothie, with the following results:
- Modafinil – 75MG mixed into a smoothie = a quicker onset. Effect duration: same
- Oxiracetam – 500MG mixed into a smoothie = a quicker onset. Effect duration: same
- Aniracetam – 700MG mixed into a smoothie = a quicker onset. Effect duration: same
- Noopept – 13MG mixed into a smoothie = a quicker onset. Effect duration: same
And there are a few more. But what I’ve come to learn, as you’ll see in the video below, is that the benefit of nootropic powders mixed into water or a smoothie simply is the onset time.
This becomes extremely useful when you’re in a bit of a pinch, time wise, and need to get a nootropic benefit locked in pretty quick. The average time for a nootropic to start affecting you is 20-30 minutes, but with this strategy, that time, for me, is between 10-20 minutes, making it a convenient way to get a faster nootropic onset.
