In the latter part of the decade I’ve been fussing with nootropics, I’ve come to really appreciate making them more efficient. And solubility is a huge part of that.
Making nootropics work better is a worthwhile endeavor. There are always ways to improve the way certain compounds are affecting you. There seems to be a never ending, multitude of things one can do to improve absorption, onset, duration, and intensity of effects.
And one of them is solubility. Solubility merely explains how a compound dissolves, and is absorbed into your body. Some compounds are water soluble, meaning you can take them with water, and they will activate in your body/brain.
Others are fat soluble, which means that you will achieve better absorption, and the compound will dissolve and start affecting you better, in the presence of fats of some type, whether omega 3, saturated, or other.
Aniracetam and Fish oil stack
Aniracetam is fat soluble. It doesn’t necessarily require a fat source to work, because I’ve taken it plenty of times on an empty stomach in the morning and gotten results, but it does seem clear to me that I can get it to perform better while taking fat with it.
Performing better means:
- Faster onset
- Stronger effects
- Longer duration
Things of this nature. So, if your interest is getting the LITERAL BEST out of your nootropic stack, considering solubility should be top of mind.
So here’s my little experiment, which I’ll explain in the video. I did the following:
- I took about 2G of EPA and DHA from small fish oil capsules, and squeezed them into some double 0 capsules (a specific sized empty supplement capsule).
- I then measured and poured 600 or so MG of Aniracetam into the capsule.
- I took it.
My thinking here was that if I could have the Aniracetam directly contact the fat, I would get a significantly better absorption of the compound in my gut, blood, and brain.
Also that I could essentially get the benefits of relatively high dose DHA, mixed with Aniracetam. Definitely a “stack” in and of itself.
So I threw it down and we were off to the races. And guess what? I had a discernibly better onset, a stronger effect, and a bit of a longer duration with it than usual.
Was it insanely noticeable? No. It was subtle. But I did notice it. And that’s the important fact. As I alluded to in the front end of this post, I’m into making tweaks with nootropics now. I love the idea of just changing a few things, to achieve better results.
And you can do this too. Always be thinking about solubility. If it’s fat soluble, try taking/consuming a fat source with the nootropic/smart drug.
In the video, we’ll discuss solubility, this experiment, and the notion of improving nootropic effects by paying attention to details like solubility.
