A Day With Noopept: Experiences, Dosages, And Applications

Noopept is one of the best smart drugs I’ve ever taken

It’s certainly in my top ten, and is one of the best nootropics I’ve come across for information retention.

Building the Cortex Nootropic Stack, and experimenting with smart drugs for the last 6 years, I have endured (lol) lots of long scientific studies. The one on the mechanisms of Modafinil is particularly dense.

Being able to fully understand what you’re reading, when there are so many deeply embedded terms within such a study, sometimes, for any normal brain, requires a few passes.

At baseline, I often have to pass through certain paragraphs of a long study a few times to really get a grasp for what’s going on. And that’s perfectly normal, I think.

But when taking Noopept, the amount of time I pass through such studies, is far less, and my comprehension is far more. That is the beauty of this smart drug.

Looking at some of the mechanisms of Noopept on the brain, we see that there are increases in neurotrophic factors in the hippocampus, an area of the brain pretty definitively associated with memory. To quote directly from the Examine.com literature around Noopept:

Mechanistically, single doses of noopept at 0.5mg/kg (as well as 28 days of chronic dosing at the same dose) noted increases in both NGF and BDNF mRNA concentrations in the rat hippocampus, with a greater relative increase in NGF and no apparent tolerance developing over 28 days.[12] The authors hypothesized that the increase in these factors (neurotrophin factors) is associated with chronic improvement in memory associated with Noopept, as some trials noted greater improvements following chronic dosing (rats[13] and humans[3]) while neurotrophins are known to be associated with long-term memory enhancement.[14]

It’s pretty plausible that this, at least partially, underlies my enhanced ability to retain information while reading. It’s actually quite astounding. Some nootropics are subtle, and the benefit you realize from them is just a tich above baseline.

My experience with Noopept is the opposite. The information retention properties are highly noticeable, and I walk away from the experience having etched into my memory, the information I read. In other words, the gains stick.

If you ask me to recall the information I read while taking Noopept, 14, 28, or 40 days later, it’s usually still quite clear in my mind.

In this video, I took 13MG of Noopept sometime in the morning, and then proceeded to engage the rest of my day. And I got a shit ton of work done.

I sat down to do some administrative work, that usually provokes an analysis of the health of one of my companies, by examining Quickbooks data (data about transactions, profit and loss, and how we can improve those metrics).

And, it came as no surprise that I was able to wrap my head around the whole exercise a lot easier than I would at baseline.

Enjoy!
